We use a Miele vacuum in our conservation lab. It has held up well and
the conservation staff seems to be content with it. We replaced an older
Nilfisk with the Miele.

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] Vacuums

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good, museum acceptable vacuum? We currently have
an old Nilfisk and it's on its last legs.
There is an argument to get a Super Quartervac from ProTeam, but I don't
know how that compares to a HEPA vac. It seems to be cheaper. Also, our
facilities guys want something akin to a backpack vacuum rather than the
traditional pull-behind like our old Nilfisk. Does anyone have a good
recommendation for me? I'm still leaning toward a new Nilfisk.
