The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, America's oldest museum and art
school, seeks a highly motivated and creative individual for the position
of Chief Preparator.  Responsibilities include supervision of storage,
shipping, and handling of artwork; as well as overseeing construction,
installation, and de-installation of active program of permanent-collection
and special exhibitions.  Qualified candidate will have project management
and supervisory background along with a minimum of five years of museum
experience.  Must have B.A. degree or equivalent certification;
demonstrated drafting skills, including knowledge of computer (AutoCAD)
systems; and extensive design and fabrication skills.  Ability to work
effectively as a member of a team is essential.  The position reports
directly to the Chief Curator.  Send letter of interest, resume, reference
