Ah well, Tim, look at it this way - it could have been shrunken heads!

In a large Canadian military museum, hidden deep in the collection, are two
medieval stone statues from a church in France (possibly Belgium)
"souveniered" during the First World War. The Director of Collections wanted
to put them on display. "And what will you say when the French ambassador
wants them back", I said. I am ashamed to say that nothing has been done in
80 years to restore them to the country of origin.

There are worse things than golden shovels.

Harry

"Idler, go to the ant.
Ponder her ways and grow wise."

               - Proverbs 6 (Jerusalem Bible translation)
