Congratulations baseball. You're 150 today.

The firat real baseball game was played on June 19, 1846 at the Elysian
(a-LEES-ien) Fields near (now in) Hoboken, NJ. Forget that Abner Doubleday
myth. This is the real story.

The New York Nickerbocker Base Ball Club, which devised the early rules,
played a local cricket team and lost 23-1.

Happy Birthday Baseball!!
