I would agree with Deb Fuller.  Museums can and should put up simple web
sites that provide general information about their services, directions and
general information.  More importantly, these sites should be linked to the
city or municipality's web site under the appropriate heading (family
activities, cultural attractions, etc.).

I have been involved in a few project recently in which the web page was
designed by a student intern and/or service learning participant.  Many
undergraduate students and high school students have the skills necessary to
create web pages under direction of museum staff and many states have
community service requirements for high school graduation so these students
are looking for 6-9 month projects that are interesting and allow them to
use specific skills.  I would suggest contacting local colleges and high
schools (public and private).
