   Thanks for the info on the Phoenix business.  I definitely got the
   impression that it was a tricky arrangement for all concerned, to have
   two artists in charge of a public works program.  But that was touted
   as a big plus by paul goldberger, and as I recall there is something
   similar afoot in the New Haven waterfront.  Clobberation indeed, a
   useful word.
