We don't allow photography in Historic Deerfield's 14 historic houses.  We
aren't worried too much about commercial "thievery" since hand-held
cameras don't produce good enough images.  Our main reason is to prevent
visitors from staggering into objects while looking through viewfinders
and not paying attention.  Also, picture taking would slow down tours and
annoy others in the same group.
