Hi all,

I'll concur with others that organization and some careful thought about presenting material in an online format makes for a successful site.

The Colorado Digitization Project has offered a basic web development workshop before and the PowerPoint presentation is available at: http://coloradodigital.coalliance.org/workshop5.html

Regarding editors www.webmonkey.com offers some good, if tongue-in-cheek, reviews in the Web Editor Shootout.

FrontPage CAN be a useful tool for those with limited web development experience. Just because Microsoft tempts you with fancy features like hover buttons and custom components doesn't mean that you HAVE to use them. Using simple, restrained design, like that recommended by Jacob Nielsen, you can actually produce a decent web site with FrontPage.

For more advanced users Dreamweaver is the way to go - hands-down it's the best available.
