I apologize for posting yet one more message about the large attachment
from the Getty, however I think it is important to say a write a few words.

First, the person who posted the message and attached image is not a
subscriber to Museum-L, so posting complaint messages only puts more
messages into already overstuffed e-mail boxes. I have sent a personal
note to the original poster asking her to use a little better judgement
when posting to the list.

This has been an exciting morning starting with driving around police and
secret service blockades because someone decided it would be neat for Bob
Dole to speak in the park across the street from the museum, something we
are not really accustomed to here in New Mexico. Then, I encountered
about 200 bounced e-mail messages as a result of the Getty posting.

I am not trying to suppress discussion, but please be considerate when
posting messages about the large image files, all the complaints can
clog up valuable disk space and eat up limited quotas for many of our friends
on the list.

And, those of us with experience can help explain to our co-workers
appropriate and inappropriate e-mail practices.
