Disclaimer: My experience comes from the school of hard knocks, and my
knowledge from living with my husband who is an executive for a large Energy
Management/Electronics firm.

If it were me, I'd call some of the larger HVAC manufacturers and ask to be
referred to someone who is familiar with museum applications. I'd call
Lennox, Trane, Carrier, etc. They can either hook you up with a
knowledgeable local contractor or someone from their main office. Do not
allow them to send you someone who designs systems for schools or hospitals
- totally different situation. Frankly, they need to understand that you're
not planning for human comfort. :-)

Subject: Has anyone worked with Stulz Air Technology Systems?

Hi,

Our air conditioner/humidifier unit has finally really, truly died and
we are in the process of looking for a replacement. Our storage room is
small and doesn't have a vapor barrier, so many of the larger companies
that make units for museums don't seem to have anything in our needed
size range. We're in discussions with Stulz Air Technology Systems, but
they don't usually build units for humidity as much as for cooling. I've
asked them for a list of clients so I can find out if there is a decent
level of satisfaction, but so far have not had luck getting such a list.
I have been assured they will meet our specifications, but I'd like more
than the word of a salesman!

Have any of you worked with this company?

Astrida
