The Virginia Marine Science Museum has recently entered an exciting new
phase with a $35 million expansion that will triple its size.  We will be
opening a position for a Development Director in January 1995.
Responsibilities include the completion of a $5 million capital campaign
and creation of an annual giving program.  Membership development will
also be a priority, as will corporate sponsorship opportunities and grant
writing.
 
Successful candidates must have a proven track record in professional
fund-raising for non-profits and strong interpersonal skills.  The
position will report directly to the museum director.  Also, we offer a
competitive salary and excellent benefit package.
