Subject: Museum attendants by any other name?

>Hello! We're changing the job descriptions of what used to be known as
>our museum attendants to give them a more multi-functional, active role
>in interpretation, exhibition development, collections care, etc. Along
>with this shift in emphasis we're keen to move away from the "museum
>attendant" title, towards something more in tune with the new role.
>Various ideas have been proposed, none of which seem to fit the bill:
>information assistants (too techie), museum assistants (too
>behind-the-scenes), guides (too girlie), visitor interpreters (eeuuch!).
>Any body out there with a good, viable, and acceptable solution?
>
>yours in anticipation of some truly excellent ideas...
