Well I, for one, am museum from birth.  Even as a young kid, as soon as I
got a couple of something I started collecting them.  Rocks, shells, leaves,
pods, butterflies, wind-up toys, lace, books, sure.  But also popsicle
sticks, used lightbulbs.  And I've always saved all sorts of supplies
because "you never know when it might come in handy"--definitely the core
philosophy of a museum.  And I absolutely *adored* going to the museum, any
museum (ok, maybe paintings weren't much of a thrill as a kid, but the
Metropolitan MoA, and any natural history or historical museum).
