Hi Pamela,
Sorry if this reply seems too simplistic but I think that your problem 
could be solved with ventilation.  Getting the air moving should help.  
Can you crack open a window or door and move some air with a fan?  Also, 
there should be a switch or lever on your HVAC wall unit that allows you 
to vent in outside air rather than recirculating the air inside the 
building.  Hope this helps.
