Many of us must pay to have our garbage collected by private companies
because we live in areas where our taxes do not provide this service.
Thus all tax structures are not alike, anymore than the funding of
museums is the same everywhere.
As a non-Canadian visiting  Canadian museums, should I have to pay an
admission fee  or does what I pay in GST(Goods and SErvices Tax, known
elsewhere as VAT) take care of my part of the tax support?
By the way, my visits to the Museum of Anthropology at U.B.C. and the
Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria both  required paying an
admission fee.
