Filemaker is great for collections of any kind (objects, books, etc). You
can create the fields you want, it holds images and can be used easily on
the internet. It is easy to use, search, sort, and create lists and or
other formats (labels, forms, and so forth). It is fully relational. It
is also easy to import data from programs such as excel and can export data
into any format you'd like (work processing, spreadsheet, other database,
etc.).

I use it for everything and highly recommend it over FoxPro, Access, and
dBase.
