Hello,
The Office of Cultural Education will soon replace the existing on-line
catalog system with a new integrated system that will support the
operational and collection management needs of the library and archives
and the education and public access needs of the library, archives and
museum.  

We are currently investigating what consultants are out there that can
help define our requirements and develop a RFP for the acquisition and
implementation of a new system.

We are looking for consultants with expertise in one or all of the
following criteria:
a.	Develop baseline requirements for an online catalog system that
can support the needs of the State Library and the State Archives and
include appropriate descriptive information on collections from the
State Museum.
 
b.	Review current information assets and information needs in the
State Museum and develop an information systems plan for the State
Museum, with special attention on collections meda-data and collections
images, both digital and analog.

c.	Develop a broad strategic plan for providing integrated access
to information about OCE collections, including digital collections.

If you are a consultant or your institution has done a similar project
like this in the past, I am eager to hear from you.  Feel free to reply
