For what it's worth, it's generally not appropriate to post entire
news articles (with or without a link). While we exchange these
messages via e-mail, the Museum-L archive is posted on the web, and I
know the AP and other news organizations have gone after online forums
for this behavior.

Given this, it's advisable to post a snippet about the article and a
link. If, as Maggie encountered, the news story requires you register
or sign in, you can always amble on to www.bugmenot.com which provides
generic sign-ins to bypass web site registration.
