Two questions in one day!
We have an oral history collection that has been
created over the years for different exhibitions. They
are mostly comprised of interviews between our curator
or historian and an actor/director/or other person
from the Motion Picture industry.
All of the tapes were made by and for the museum.
My question to all of you is-- Would you consider this
material possible accessionable material that should
become a part of the collection? OR a museum
institutional archive object?
There seems to be arguments on both sides and my
co-workers and I have gone back and forth on this
issue for some time so I thought I would throw it out
there to the community.
Thanks,
C. Stumm
