In 1993 while the galleries were closed for renovations, the Idaho
Museum of Natural History tried a store in the local mall which was
not successful. I wasn't here at the time so I can't offer any
reasons. Now that the store in the museum is open again, it's doing
realatively well.

Retail sites may be more profitable in urban areas larger than
Pocatello. In the Washington, DC area, the Friends of the National
Zoo (FONZ) have stores in one or two of the malls in the metropolitan area. As
I recall,
the mall stores are only open seasonally, around Christmas.

I believe it was the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC that has a shop i
n one the
Maryland malls. I have no idea who you would contact at either
organization.

The address for FONZ is National Zoo, Smithsonian Institution, WDC
20008. I don't have their telephone number handy. The Corcoran
Gallery of Art, 17th and New York Ave, NW, WDC 20006
