     Call for Posters:   CARE/AAM Poster Session
     Call for Papers:  1999 Current Trends in Audience Research and
     Evaluation
     Due Date: February 1, 1999

     The Marketplace of Ideas at the 1999 AMM Annual Meeting in Cleveland
     Ohio will be held on Monday, April 26, 1999 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
     Poster session papers will be printed and available for purchase at
     the CARE Marketplace session as 1999 Current Trends in Audience
     Research.   Together, this provides museum audience researchers and
     evaluators ways to share current work with the broader museum field.

     Topics for posters and papers can include any area of audience
     research or evaluation and can be presented by museum staff,
     consultants, museum studies faculty, and students.   Poster
     presentations and should be applicable and understandable to a broad
     range of museum professionals.  In the poster session the use of color
     and clear graphics will help communicate your poster's information.
     Papers must be prepared according to the Submission Requirements on
     the following page.

     If you would like to participate in the poster session and have your
     paper published in 1999 Current Trends in Audience Research, please
     submit the following:

          .     Complete the CARE Poster Session Proposal Form.  This form
     should be typed and submitted via email or mailed by February 1, 1999.


          .     Proposals will be reviewed and selected by February 9, 1999
     for listing in the AMM Annual Program booklet.

          .     If you paper is accepted for the poster session, you will
     be notified and asked to submit a copy on print-ready copy on disk by
     March 1, 1999.

          .     CARE Members may submit their general session AAM papers
     for publication in Currents Trends.  If you plan to submit a paper,
     please ask for guidelines.

     Presenters must be members of CARE and be registered for the AAM
     Meeting.  If you are not currently a member of CARE a membership form
     is enclosed.  Five complimentary registrations for AAM--for the day of
     the poster session only--will be available on a "first come first
     served basis."   Please, indicate on the form that you need one.
