Today's New York Times article on destruction at Beauvoir and in
Biloxi.

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/09/08/garden/08history.html?pagewanted=1

Back when we were Deaton Museum Services, we designed and built the
exhibits at the Jefferson Davis Library and Museum so have been
particularly concerned about how they fared. The entire lower level-
ticketing, orientation theater and about 4500 SF of mostly casework
exhibits filled with artifacts - is now an open room. This building
is on the Beauvoir property, near the historic home, which was also
seriously damaged.
