Hello--

Pardon the cross postings. I am working with two teachers who are
developing a unit on the Industrial Revolution in Great Britian and the US
for a joint English/Social Studies program. They work with 10th graders
(15 years old). Their brief description of the project is that "we will be
studying Charles Dickens' _Hard Times_ and the socio-economic impacts of
the Industrial Revolution in Great Britain." The project is scheduled to
begin in Feb., 1999.

If you know of a school or teacher who might be a suitable contact to
establish an e-mail exchange with these students (approx. 40), please
contact the Social Studies teacher directly. Her name is Hope Dills, and
she can be reached at [log in to unmask]

Thank you very much for your assistance.
