Interpretive Exhibit Developer

Applicants should send a letter of introduction, resume, and writing

Salary Range: Compensation commensurate with experience
  
Split Rock Studios is looking for an experienced exhibit developer to
work as a member of our creative team. The person filling this
position must bring a broad range of skills to the position and must
be ready to work in all aspects of exhibit development, including:
·      Listening to clients, understanding and developing their goals
·      Rapidly assimilating knowledge on a broad range of topics
·      Establishing interpretive objectives, themes, and approaches
·      Brainstorming exhibit ideas for proposals and projects
·     Developing exhibit ideas to fulfill interpretive goals and fit
within the given budget

·     Working with the Split Rock designers to locate exhibit ideas
on a floor plan and develop interpretive flow

·     Writing proposals, exhibit themes and outlines

·     Writing final exhibit text with full documentation

·     Writing with a clear, concise, approachable style and being
able and willing to revise according to client requests

·     Proofreading and editing copy accurately, displaying a thorough
knowledge of grammar

·     Preparing and making presentations for concept and final design
presentations, as well as for occasional sales calls

·      Meeting deadlines on a timely basis
·      Traveling as needed 
 
This position requires an appropriate degree and a minimum of four
years of experience developing content for interpretive exhibits. A
working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is
required, and Filemaker Pro is a plus. 
 
The successful applicant must be willing to relocate to the Twin
Cities area. This position is full-time and in-house.
