Dear List,

We have a number of long photographs of military units we refer to as
“yard longs” which always come to us rolled. We have been storing them
rolled and unroll them only when they are requested in our archives. The
question has arisen regarding storing these photographs in some other
fashion. If they are to be stored “flat” how would we accomplish relaxing
the set they have acquired over the last 50 to 80 years? Should we
continue to store them rolled?

Thank You,
Wayne Hart, Director
Museum of Valor
