ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP:
Since 1853, the California Academy of Sciences has dedicated its efforts to
research and educate about the natural world. The Academy of Sciences is the
oldest scientific institution in the West, founded after the California gold
rush to survey the vast resources of California and beyond. The Academy,
which includes the Steinhart Aquarium and Morrison Planetarium, has grown to
be one of the ten largest natural history museums in the world, and is an
international center for environmental research.

AltaMira Press is a division of Sage Publications, Inc., a leading journal
publisher. AltaMira publishes in the humanities, and has become one of the
leading publishers of professional museum studies publications. Through this
new partnership, California Academy of Sciences and AltaMira Press will
continue to fulfill Curator's 40-year mission to provide a forum for museum
administrators, curators, conservators, educators and exhibitors from around
the world.
