Hi all,

I was virus-smitten as well and McAfee took care of it. However, it took
hours for me to successfull scan and make sure nothing else was
infected.Mycomputer kept crashing. When I finally could complete a scan
it revealed a file which is an EICAR test file that is not a virus but
tests for viruses. This file is sent deliberately by companies that want
to test if their software is working. Was this other people's experience
with this virus episode? Just curious.

Ellen, please do not worry. We all know that these viruses are so
sohisticated that they do their thing without our help. It could happen
to any one of us. I appreciated the info on the other virus protection
programs and have filed them away for future reference. Thanks everyone.
