Registrar Position Available

San Francisco art adivising firm seeks full-time registrar.  This position
involves providing art registration services to corporate and private
clients, as well as providing in-house support to the art advising team.

We are a small, team-based firm in which the staff works together to
develop art colletions and provide full art collection management services
for our clients.  The registrar is responsible for all record keeping
related to works of art, including maintenance of a FileMaker Pro
collections management database.  In addition, the registrar arranges for
insurance, framing, conservation, loans, and artwork installation, as well
as all logistical aspects of shipping works of art locally, nationally, and
internationally.  Flexibility is essential, as the registrar also provides
support to other staff members as needed and some tasks may fall outside of
a "typical" registrar's job description.

Registration experience in a museum or gallery setting is a requirement of
this position.  Strong computer skills are a must.  Experience with
FileMaker Pro is extremeley desirable.
