Hi Richard!

Specific to the National Park Service, you can try to find a copy of Museum
handbook. Part I, Museum collections (Washington, D.C.: National Park
Service, Dept. of the Interior, 1990/1991).  It should be for sale by the
Supt. of Docs.)  For something more general, you can try John M.A. Thompson
et al. (eds.), The Manual of curatorship: a guide to museum practice
(London/Boston: Butterworths, 1984).
