Realistically, no one is going to ask how long it took for you to earn your
MA. However, as we know, all schools/programs are not created equal. While
I do not know anything about the Public History offering at the University
of Western Ontario, prospective employers may have definite opinions on this
program vs. another.

Hi!
I have MA from a 16 month program (Tufts) and no one has ever asked me how
long it took me to earn my degree. On a resume an MA is an MA.

Subject: 1Year Master's Program

Dear listers,

I am currently looking at different MA programs in Public History. One of
the Universities that I am interested in is University of Western Ontario,
which has a 12 month MA program. I like the program but do not want to find
out, to late, that because it is only a year long I might not have equal
consideration for positions. Most of the US programs seem to be two years
long.

Does anyone have experience with Western Ontario's Public History program?
Is there anyone, who is involved in the hiring at their institution, who
might have any suggestions for me, regarding this?

Thank you for all your help,
Becca Hiller
