For Gary Acord (and others interested in lighthouses):

Two organizations which can be of help:

U.S. Lighthouse Society
244 Kearny St. 5th Floor
San Francisco, CA 94108

415/362-7255

Wayne Wheeler, Head Keep

Lighthouse Preservation Society
Box 736
Rockport, Mass 01966

There are many publications which vary from mere listings of
extant/former lighthouses to full color, historical description, and
dirctions for accessing lighthouses. The USLHS can for sure provide a
bibliography. Neither society is internetable; they are telephone,
letter, maybe fax literate.
