Collections Associate for Acquisitions (Full time, 40 hours a week)  This is an entry level position.  The Autry Museum of Western Heritage seeks an individual to assist with managing the acquisitions under the supervision of the Collections Manager for Acquisitions.  Responsibilities include: hands-on work with three-dimensional artifacts, art, archival and library materials; preparing inventory sheets and files of incoming donations and purchases; cataloging of accessioned materials including descriptive listings; packing a variety of art materials and artifacts for shipment; participating in exhibit installations and deinstallations; and other duties as required.  Preferred candidates should have experience in handling museum collections; be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills; be willing to work in a team environment; have computer skills and knowledge of database management, with ARGUS experience preferred; and have knowledge of artifact terminology.
