The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa is due to open in Wellington,
New Zealand in February 1998.

Our exhibition evaluation team is currently seeking information to help with
the planning and development of public programmes, computer interactives and
mechanical interactives for the Museum.

We are interested in finding out about formal evaluation studies that have
been conducted and/or your professional opinions that relate to the
following:

1.  Public programmes:
     - what have been your most successful public programmes (in terms of)
          * quality of experience
          * visitor numbers
          * attracting new visitors to your facility
          * generating net revenue
     - which programmes have been less successful and why?

2. Evaluation (concept testing, formative or summative) of computer
interactives
3. Evaluation (concept testing, formative or summative) of mechanical
interactives (from an interpretive perspective)

Any information you can provide us regarding the above will be most
gratefully received.
