I am interested in learning the policy of institutions that may not have a staff photographer and hire on an as need basis for new photography. We currently have a few photographers that we hire as "contract" photographers, but currently have no contract or agreement. These photographers are willing to not claim copyright for the photography, but I would like to have some sort of document for the photographer to sign understanding that the museum holds copyright to the photos. I have searched the archives and found a few times when the subject came very close, but nothing to answer my question. A lot of great information on fee schedules though! Any information would be appreciated on or off the list. Thank you in advance.
