Clear Creek History Park
Site Director

The Clear Creek History Park in Golden, CO is seeking a Site Director.  The
Park, opened in 1998, is a 3-acre "hands-on" living history site that
educates the public about Golden's history from 1859-1900.  The site consists
of log cabins, a one-room school, a blacksmith shop, animal sheds and small
livestock, an amphitheater, and more.

Summary of responsibilities:  The Clear Creek History Park's Site Director is
responsible for 1 and 5 year long-range planning, overseeing interpretive
planning, grant writing and administration, overseeing the production of
special events, overseeing and coordinating public relations activities,
managing a small staff, overseeing site budget and analyzing statistical
data, reporting to and working with a board of directors, coordinating and
planning for short term and long term facility repair and preservation, and
fundraising.

Qualifications:  Minimum qualifications include a B.A. in history or related
field and at least 2 years of historic site experience with increasing
responsibility.  Desired qualifications include a Master's degree in history,
museum studies, business, or related field, and 3 years of experience,
including capital project management experience.

We are looking for a team player who is able to work in a small, busy office
environment, and who is able to handle many projects at one time.
