Artists Liaison, New York City Art Gallery
For our renowned New York City contemporary gallery client we are seeking an
Artist Liaison. The successful candidate will work with gallery and other
participating artists to manage and set all logistics, finances, timetables,
travel and hotel arrangements; etc., related to gallery shows, commissions,
art fairs and special events such as charity or other appearances; serve as
a "gate-keeper" for all inquiries about the artist; relay such inquires as
appropriate to publicity, sales and directorial personnel; serve as artist's
liaison for all installation, shipping, storage and registrarial related
matters; assist in developing sales strategies; oversee and review all
budgets for production of work; respond to any other inquires, special
requests and/or calls for assistance by artists; other duties as necessary.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years experience in a contemporary
art gallery or artist's studio and excellent organizational and project
management skills.  Superb communications skills an absolute must.  BA in
art history required; languages a plus.  Salary to 65K with excellent
