Carolyn - The University Art Museum in Berkeley did a really interesting
exhibition on a donor and her collection a few years ago. The exhibit
included objects (paintings, sculpture, furniture, worn-out rugs, boxes of
miscellaneous stuff) and the extensive correspondence between the donor and
the museum. It may have been an artist's project, but I can't remember.
Maybe someone else on the list remembers more details of the exhibition
than I do...
