Beth,

I occupy one of those positions to which you are referring. I am the
"Information Specialist" for the KSU Gardens, a horticultural display
facility as well as part of an established research institution in
plant sciences. While technically a botanical garden may not be
classified as a museum, our Visitor's Center is part of the historic
"Dairy Barn" which is the site of the "KSU Agricultural History
Museum". Eventually we will be integrated into that facility, since
our educational center will be located within the museum.

My position was "created" and is funded by grants. All of my work is
focused on obtaining funding: I write and design the Gardens
Newsletter with an eye toward informing and attracting possible
supporters (volunteers, members, foundations, etc.); I design
exhibits to honor the major donors of specific projects; I research
and prepare grant proposals.

If you would like to contact me outside the list regarding your
project, please feel free to do so.
