Dear Colleagues,

As Planetarium Director for Central Texas College, I am pleased to announce
two immediate planetarium job openings. Central Texas College seeks two
dedicated and talented individuals from the planetarium/museum field to
serve as "Planetarium Producer/Educator" and "Planetarium Technician" to
help open and operate a state-of-the-art Planetarium and Space Theater in
beautiful central Texas.

Central Texas College (CTC) is located in Killeen, about an hour north of
the state capital in Austin. The area is surrounded by rolling farmland,
lakes and abundant wildlife. Killeen has a population of approximately
90,000 and lies adjacent to Fort Hood military base which itself employs
over 40,000. The cost of living is considerably lower than many places I
have lived. Neighboring communities include the cities of Temple, Belton,
Harker Heights and Copperas Cove.

The Planetarium, which will open sometime this year features a 60ft. Astro-
Tec dome, Minolta Infinium Gamma II star projector, MegaSystems 8/70 Large
Format Film System, AVI Laser Graphics System, Sky Skan theater lighting
control & slide automation system, panorama, all-sky and video projection
capabilities. The facility will be among the largest and best equipped in
Texas, with a star field that is second to none in the state.

As planetarium director, I will supervise these positions and am glad to
answer any questions you may have. Please direct inquiries directly to me
(off-list) at [log in to unmask] . Application materials may be
downloaded from the CTC Website at www.ctcd.edu/weeklyco.htm . Both
positions are Full Time - Exempt, and include full medical benefits. Formal
application materials should be submitted to the College's Employment
Services office, but I will be glad to discuss (frankly) the position
requirements, qualifications etc. with anyone who would like to inquire.
