The Smithsonian Center for Materials Research and Education (SCMRE), an
internationally renowned organization specializing in the scientific study
of museum artifacts and their materials, has a job opening for an Analytical
Chemist. The incumbent provides expertise and services in the examination
and analysis of museum objects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in
Analytical Chemistry, Masters preferred, and be experienced in at least one
of the following techniques: ICP-MS, LA-ICP-MS, XRD, XRF, and SEM-EDS.
Experience working with small samples and cultural materials is highly
