The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia located in Kuala Lumpur seeks suitably
qualified candidates for the following positions:

Head of Conservation

Head of Conservation Requirements:

Relevant minimum experience of 5 years in museum or conservation centre to
direct a newly built Conservation Centre

Master / PhD in Conservation & Restoration of Art Objects OR in Chemistry
with at least 5 years experience in Conservation & Restoration of Art
Objects

Age between 30 to 50

Specialise in the treatment of wide variety of art works

Fluent in English language

Able to engage in research works, train and supervise a fresh team of
trainees

Able to work in Malaysia without any constraints as the contract of
employment shall specify
Senior / Junior Curators

Senior / Junior Curators Requirements:

Degree in Museology / History of Arts specialising in various fields of
Islamic Arts
Age between 24 to 40
Minimum of 3 years experience
Good in research and computer literate
Proficient in English and at least one other foreign language. Knowledge of
Arabic, Persian, Turkish an advantage
Able to work in Malaysia without any constraints as the contract of
employment shall specify
