The recent post on the war could reasonably be construed as a trolling post.

What I mean about not feeding the trolls is that it is best not to rise to
the bait of a trolling post and respond to the list.  The best response is
use of the delete key and a return to normal list business.  

From wikipedia also: "A phrase like "don't feed the trolls" -- reductive as
it might seem -- effectively communicates a few basic norms of Internet
conduct (don't escalate, remember that some posts can be ignored) in a way
that is immediately comprehensible and effective."
