Question here, are they for display that people can see or is it just for storage? I once did some hanging storage for this type of thing by using Plexiglas and molding it into hooks and screwing these to the wall. I used pieces of plexi that were about 6" x 12", and shaped them -flat surface on the wall, bent them out, then down and made a pocket that would hold the object's handle or base. Some I did vertically, some horizontally. If you would like some drawings I can do them and scan them and send them to you. Joan Goodbody

Subject: [MUSEUM-L] AGRICULTURAL TOOL STORAGE

I am looking for inexpensive, yet archival, method to hang a number of very
long agricultural tools on the wall, i.e. hay rakes, pitchforks, and
cross-cut saws, etc. My initial idea was to install peg board and use metal
hooks padded with acid free foam, but I am concerned about the acidity and
strength of the pegboard.

Thanks, Shannon
