Please excuse any errors, I am writing this from home and my terminal
emulator is marginal at best for full screen editing.

I just want to thank Rob for allowing Museum-L postings to be archived
on his system. Certainly, we have been verbose over the last year. We have
also grown rather rapidly over the last year, from about 500 subscribers last
January to almost 1200 as of today.

This list continues to be viable because it is a cross-disciplinary, general
purpose discussion list. I think the archives are valuable because we don't
need to repeat discussions every couple of months. The archives can give
new people to the list and to the profession a look at how we think, and in
a few years, how professional thought about a given topic has changed. The
archives, IMHO, is a valuable source for the latest thought in how museum
professionals view themselves, their institutions, and the world around
them.

Please, take the time to look at the archives and let Rob know what you
think.
