Early news this AM reports that Mayor Giuliani is threatening to remove
City funding from the Brooklyn Museum of Art because it's upcoming young
british artist exhibition has a "sick" picture of the Madonna smeared with
excrement.  The City is the largest single funder of BMA, with millions of
dollars of operating and capital support each year.  The museum is on a
wonderful roll under its new director, Arnold Lehman.

Here we go again.
