Hello all -

If you are an art museum person interested in visiting a great art web
site, I suggest you visit The Robert J. Shiffler Foundation's new
site at http://www.bobsart.com/.

In the "Culture Shock" section of TIME DIGITAL this month BOBSART.COM is

called a great "site for bored eyes". It is, and does too, showcases
both a
2000 piece collection of contemporary art, and artists projects created
for the www. John J. Simon Jr. has a wonderful art work on-line now
called
Color Balance. Simon's art brings a Paul Klee drawing, and ideas into
our cyber
age. Its appropriation art of a new kind. Take a look also at Nina
Pope, and
Karen J. Guthrie projects linked from somewhere.org. terrific stuff -
beautifully done!

This site is also the focus of a wonderful piece in today's Cyber Times
section of the NEW YORK TIMES.

In the NEW YORK TIME'S piece Shiffler asserted that this six-month-old
site is essential to the mission of his newly launched foundation, which

is devoted to expanding the impact of his creative holdings. "In terms
of having a purpose for the collection, my primary interest has been to
allow this work to be exposed in places where it typically wouldn't
otherwise be exposed," he explained. HE LIKES TO LEND ART!

This is great news, for curators, and directors not living in New York
or L.A.
The fact that Shiffler's 2000 piece contemporary art collection is one
of the
very best in the United States, I believe makes his new foundation's web
site an
obvious BOOKMARK for museum folk.

Just thought you should know about the NYTimes piece
