I am currently working on a master's thesis that discusses the differences
between tribes and the need for the development of tribe and sometimes band
specific written guidelines for non-Native American museums to follow.  I plan
to develop a guideline for creating guidelines--taking into consideration the
things tribes need to know about museums, and what museums need to know about
tribes dealing with tribes.  What questions may be appropriate to both
parties.

I am also the Assistant Collections Manager at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum in
Shawnee where I am working on a NAGPRA grant.  I will probably be contacting
you again about the progress we've made so far, and ask for suggestions.
