Having worked with some churches here in Indiana, I would recommend that 
you first check with the church's denominational offices (if it is affiliated).
The denomination may have a central archives that would accept records of disbanding
churches.  Or, in the case of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, it may 
have regional archives that maintain collections of churches from their regions.  
Otherwise, I would suggest either a local archives or the Massachusetts Historical 
Society.
