£7.00 - £8.00 per hour Do you have the creative flair and ability to implement and develop Chertsey Museum?s highly regarded museum education and outreach service? We are seeking a qualified teacher to join the museum?s small dedicated team, initially until 31 March 2001, but this may be extended further annually. Working twelve hours a week, you will be developing and operating an education service for local schools and running lively holiday activities for children. Although open to all age groups, this position may be of particular interest if you are taking early retirement and looking for a part time job. You will need to be enthusiastic and highly motivated with the ability to plan and develop taught sessions within agreed timescales to children of all abilities from pre-school to Key Stage 4. You will arrange talks and activities  for adults in the community, both at the Museum and around the borough. You must be computer literate, flexible, and have excellent organisational and communication skills. Knowledge of the National Curriculum and at least two years teaching experience is essential and you must have a proven use of museums and galleries in your work.
