Exhibit Developer at Split Rock Studios
Full-time

Split Rock Studios, an exhibit design/build firm in the Twin Cities, is looking for an experienced and creative exhibit developer/interpretive writer to join our team. SRS specializes in creating high-quality natural and cultural history exhibitions for museums and visitor centers across the country.

As the main advocate for the visitor experience, the exhibit developer must be able to communicate persuasively and work collaboratively with a wide variety of team members. The candidate will be familiar with the latest literature related to informal learning, visitor evaluation, and museum exhibition development. S/he must be highly organized, efficient, and flexible through all phases of multiple projects. We want someone who can dream big—but who can also get the job done!

This position requires an appropriate bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and a minimum of 4–5 years of experience developing interpretive exhibits. Interpretive master planning experience a plus. SRS exhibit developers are expected to work on both natural and cultural history projects. However, special consideration will be given to candidates with a background in natural history or environmental education.

Compensation commensurate with experience and salary history. Please provide a cover letter, resume, and 3 interpretive writing samples to [log in to unmask] with"Exhibit Developer" in the subject line. No phone calls, please. Split Rock Studios is an equal opportunity employer seeking diversity in our personnel. Deadline for application March 2, 2015.
